month at Cherry Creek State Park, Arapahoe County... ;)

Though I would put Colorado's birding community above nearly all other US
state's [note that the apostrophe indicates possession and should not be used
in simple plurals -- aargh], there are relatively few CO birders that really
study gulls, though most of those are active participants
Around 4PM on Thursday, I saw 2 swans on Sandpiper Ponds, just west of
35th St and south of the Poudre Trail. They were not mute swans, but
has anyone else seen swans in this area and had a good scope view to
know what type they are? As we left the parking lot, they flew to the
next pond west;
Today, in the same place where Urling fond an Eastern Towhee Nov. 19, both of
us saw it. A female, with milk-chocolate brown head, back, wings, it sat near
the top of some willows along Tomichi Creek. The other towhees growled, but
this one remained silent.
If you want to look for it,
There were six Trumpeter Swans at Arrowhead Lake/Evans (65th Ave) last
weekend.

If anyone still has Ross's Gull on their minds, keep an extra eye out. There
has
been yet a second adult Ross's Gull found in Nebraska today (12/3). It is at
Branched Oak Lake in Lincoln.

Hello all,
I was out driving around this afternoon for an hour or so trying to
keep my daughter napping. And it worked beautifully. But I stopped
by Poudre #3 (off of CR 11 and north of CR66) outside of Wellington.
Thousands of Canada and Cackling Geese were present. Approximately 20
Snow
