A flock of about 30 Red Crossbills were seen by Building 7 at Denver West in
Jefferson County. Mark Chavez brought us here in search of the Pine Warbler
that we have yet to see.

John Vanderpoel and I birded a number of spots in Northern Boulder County and
found a few interesting birds this morning.
We started by going up to Allenspark where all three Rosy Finches were present
at the Fawn Brook Inn, about 100 Gray-crowned (predominantly males and
including some Hepburn'
Cobirds:
I watched Pine Warbler foraging in ponderosa trees behind the
Cinebarre Theatre in Louisville today. Unfortunately the bird flew off
across route 36 over to the Whole Foods parking lot, and I did not give
chase. There is no telling if the bird will be back or not.
Birders,
While driving through eastern Pueblo County on US 50 several times the past
week, I’ve seen two swans on water treatment ponds just north of US 50, and
just east of the Arkansas River. Normally, I haven’t had a scope with me, or
light conditions have been bad. This morning, armed with
Gulls dominated the birds of interest (for me anyway) this afternoon in
southeast Larimer County. After getting permission to view the action on top of
the Larimer County landfill, Scott Rashid and I studied several gulls of
interest. We left a few oddballs identified as presumed American Herrin
No Pine Warbler, but a wonderful spot teeming with Red-Breasted Nuthatches,
Brown Creepers & the aforementioned Red Crossbills. Thanks Mark Chavez for an
