Today while birding along Lee Martinez Park I had a male Blackpoll Warbler
silently working an ash tree. In the same area there were 2 Red-eyed
Vireos, 2 Plumbeous Vireos and a Warbling Vireo.
At my house in old town Fort Collins I had a Rose-breasted Grosbeak,

Good afternoon,
This morning I saw a gray flycatcher and a first summer male American
redstart along Boulder Creek as accessed from the east CU campus near the
Space Science building. Both birds were quite a ways west (upstream) from
the normal sweet spot. My best advice to search for
I don't recall ever seeing a report from Two Ponds on the list, so I
thought I'd share one.
The entrance off 80th (East entrance) leads to the actual ponds; the two
sides of the Refuge are not connected. I just birded the east side. I
mostly saw the usual suspects, but was somewhat surprised by a
A male Black-throated Gray Warbler has been singing for the past half hour
at the west end of Kittredge Ponds near the south end of the CU-Boulder
main campus. This species showed up here once last spring, too.

Hi folks--
Wrote yesterday that the delightful evening serenade of the Swainson's thrush
was not #109 after all; but then this morning while my spouse & I weeded and
tended the bees, I heard a very unusual song from the hilltop nearby (where I
often hear good birds: last year it was a
Your note solved another identification mystery for me. I was birding last
week in snow-covered SE Wyoming. There were many birds sitting on the back
roads because of the snow (and it was hard to pull off the road to get a
good look at them). The majority were small brown sparrow-like birds with
I found a Magnolia Warbler, I think it is an immature male, on the goat trail
or hotspot "Hawthorne Gulch". I submitted an ebird report with pictures and
the second report has a description. Trailhead is at the end of Hawthorn Ave
in Boulder. Hike up the trail to the pump house and it was in

Today my mom (Tracy Pheneger), Maikel Wise, Susan Wise, and myself went on
a long anticipated trip to Logan County.
We started off with Tamarack Ranch, where on the drive up we had a flyover

Today, Art Hudak, David Starbuck and I went to Chico Basin trying to catch the
tail end of migration. After seeing a beautiful Magnolia Warbler at the
headquarters(Pueblo) we decided to check out Rose Pond. The first bird of
interest was a beautiful, but very skittish Blue-headed Vireo. We
Luke,
Do you have any photographic or voice documentation of the rarities?

Cobirders,
At around 5:30 this evening, while looking for the Redstart and Gray Flycatcher
Dave Ely reported earlier, I heard and then saw a Veery that was on the other
side of the creek. It was actively feeding both near the ground as well as in
the mid-canopy of the cottonwoods. It was up
