Just got a call from Rachel Hopper and Dave Leatherman and Dave found two
black BRANT at City Park in Ft. Collins, Sheldon Lake on Mulberry and Sheldon
drive. This is the same area as Grandview Cemetery. This is roughly 5.5 miles
west on Mulberry from I-25. They are apparently
I appreciate Mark Peterson posting the presence of two Brants (black) at
Sheldon Lake, City Park, Fort Collins (Larimer) this afternoon. I first saw
them about noon in the northeast portion of the lake (near the big ornamental
frogs), associating with perhaps 35 Canada Geese and Cackling

Ground-dove is still along the South Platte River in Julesburg at the
previous spot. I saw it around 2:00 this afternoon along the right
trail (two-track) from the area where you can park. It was in the

early this morning it made about 7 days of
a bird species that came only once several years apart.
Also there appeared a House Finch with white on top of head and more

I looked for the Worm-eating Warbler this morning but only from 10 - 11 am
as I had appointments in Pueblo to get to. I did not see the warbler. It
was very nice, mid-50's and no wind until I was leaving. I heard some
unusual calls that I was not familiar with but they were not what I have
