Cobirds:
Several people have brought it to my attention that Brockway
Drives and Ord Drive and Fairview are actually in Boulder and NOT in
Louisville. Thanks for that correction. And sorry for the mix up. -

While biking to work I came across the Redpolls this morning (8am) perched
in trees covered in frost. I counted 90 Redpolls while they flew back and
forth between the trees and the feeders at the Museum of Discovery. I was
able to get great views of at least 2 possible Hoary Redpolls as

COBirders,
Dick Holliday reported that the Acorn Woodpecker, reported first by Marty
Wolf on December 15, was at his feeder yesterday, Sunday the 13th. He

home from the bus stop, where the Twin Lake Trail meets Robinson Place.
They took off to the north. Hope they stay in the neighborhood.

Yesterday afternoon I found a very dark, non-vocalizing stub-tailed wren along
the creek at Raccoon Hollar nature park in Littleton. In the last couple of
years I have heard and seen numerous winter wrens in the northeastern states,
and numerous Pacific wrens in the northwestern states, and
I drove from my place east of Firestone up to Lower Latham Reservoir today, via
mostly county roads. I did find an adult HARRIS'S SPARROW off of CR 52 going
in toward the reservoir and then my first WHITE-THROATED SPARROW of the winter
on CR 54. Both birds were in seperate flocks of white
Hello COBIRDERS,
I have a small flock of (8 or so) Common Redpolls regulary visiting my
feeders in Wheat Ridge. This may be a shorter trip than going to Larimer
County, so birders may come by and park in front of the driveway (but not
in it please) and observe the birds from there. Best
