I've posted to The ABA Blog a bird quiz. 10 common birds, and they're all from
Colorado. In fact, they're all from Greenlee Preserve, Boulder County, this
past Wednesday morning, Sept. 25th? This should be easy, right?... :-)
Well, see for yourself:
Since Bear Creek Lake has been devastated by the flood, I've gone back to
birding Harriman Lake. This small Denver Water reservoir was drained in
2011, dam rebuilt, and refilled with water last winter. There was a nice
variety of spring water fowl, but not much in the way of fish to feed
The DFO trip scheduled for October 5th has been cancelled due to the
indefinite closure of Boulder County trails. Hansley has encouraged
everyone to attend the RMBO picnic in lieu.

three coyotes and a Blue-headed and a Cassin's Vireo.
