I took a late afternoon walk at Lake Estes in Estes Park and found the
previously reported male Magnolia Warbler and a female American Redstart. Both
birds were on the peninsula that juts out into the lake in the Matthews-Reeser
Bird Sanctuary.

Here are my highlights from Chico Basin Ranch (fee area) -- I birding alone
from 630am to 8am, and it was quite birdy at that time.
I left before some people, so there may be more things to report by those
people.
I ended with 13 species of warblers (12 on the El Paso County side, and 1 more

1st spring male Summer Tanager seen along the Cresent Springs
Trail today.
This is quite the hike in: From Flagstaff Mt Road got to Pika
Road (near Myers Gulch) and take it to the Ethel Harrold Picnic area - the
hike in is about 2 miles on rolling rugged terrain.
7 Cattle Egret were with the cattle in Beebe Draw along road 45 between Roads
40 and 42 this morning. I was surprised to see a Wild Turkey in the very
southwest corner of the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt about noon today.

I found 2 Magnolia Warblers today at Kingfisher Point Natural Area. I also saw
the Chestnut sided that John Shenot found, they were together. They were in the
woods just west of mile marker 2.75 of the Poudre Trail system. Best access is
from Timberline Road due to flooding of trail west of
