I visited Prewitt this morning. Did not find the previously reported
Buff-breasted Sandpiper or Red Knot. However, Baird’s were still present along
with a few Leasts, at least 3 Pectoral Sandpipers and a Long-billed Curlew.
Franklin’s Gulls were in abundance.
On the drive home, I stopped by
We're thinking of heading out this weekend to Prewitt, as it looks like the
migrant shorebird hotspot for the moment. Never having been there, any
advice for where on the lake the productive mudflat areas are would save
time. West side, East side, South end, North end...?

Yesterday, I had brief but good looks at what I thought was an adult
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher below the dam at Flagler SWA. It was not re-found
late in the day by another birder, and is why I did not post about it. Late
this afternoon, Mark Peterson and I re-found and photographed
