from the observation platform, were 4 Lesser Yellowlegs
About 2 football field lengths away, still in the southwest corner,
6-8 Yellowlegs, presumably, also Lesser Yellowlegs
1 Dowitcher species
1 Stilt Sandpipers
1 White-faced Ibis flew over the marsh

Idaho Creek is a named water body west of Weld CR 5 and north of CR 16.5.
There are many similar gravel pits near there, along the S Platte River,
west of I-25 and basically SE of Longmont.
If you get to the general area, you have a choice of water bodies near
county roads.

Thanks to Bryan Guarente for the awesome post - explaining the weather dynamics
in great detail. That got me thinking that I should study the Dowitchers at
Twin Lakes more closely. So - knowing it is a difficult ID, especially this
time of year - I reviewed details of what to look for, and
Palm warbler currently being viewed just south of Space Sciences building in
pines in the parking lot. Has continued in the general area for last 60-75
mins.
