I saw a singing male Ovenbird on the Mesa Trail south of Bear Canyon
Trailhead actively working the area both sides of the trail north of the
Fern Canyon cutoff trail and the Mesa Trail split. I had seen a singing
male Ovenbird on the 1st just south of Bear Creek on the Mesa Trail. I also

Mountain Park where Bear Creek intersects the Mesa Trail. Go about
100 yards south from here (uphill) and listen for the bird singing in
the early morning.
We also lugged a scope up to the prairie falcon nest site in
