Yesterday (Wednesday), I spent a couple of hours walking west from 71st Ave
parking lot (in Greeley) - Signature Bluffs Natural Area. In addition to
the expected, I saw a greater yellowleg along the banks of the River. It
was near a gravel path along the River about a half mile in. It was also
fun

- Cooper's Hawk, flew right up to fence for me on way into Island Grove

I birded/walked Poudre River Trail http://poudretrail.org/trail-tour from
Island Grove to 25th Avenue identifying 41 species between Island Grove and
25th Avenue. Highlights:
- (New) Western Kingbird
- Yellow-rumped Warbler
- (New) Orange-crowned Warbler
- (New) Osprey
Hiked from Island Grove trailhead until 25th Avenue. Total of 39 species,
highlights were:
Hermit Thrush
Common Yellowthroat
Yellow-rumped Warbler
House Wren
Blue-winged Teal (3-first time I've seen them on trail)
Snowy Egret
Black-crowned Night Heron
Chipping, Vesper Sparrow
Say's Phoebe
38 species highlights being:
Mute Swan - 2
Greater White-fronted Goose - 1
Snow Goose - 5

I walked 4.4 total miles out and back along the Poudre River Trail
(Greeley) this morning from Island Grove to 35th Avenue Gravel Ponds.
Fantastic weather.
