Yesterday in Rio Grande Gorge, south of Lobatos Bridge, I saw a Black
Phoebe (Conejos County). There are less than a dozen reports in my
database, and we get this species every few years. Ironically, the first

After a 3 inch snowfall overnight, I thought there might be some good
opportunities for bird and landscape photography this morning. I also wanted to
find a Black Phoebe, originally reported by Hettinger (Alamosa County).
It was a wonderful morning just for the wet snow and scenic opportunities,
I received a report from Brian and Diane Underwood (and photos) of a Black
Phoebe at the Rio Grande SWA near Monte Vista (Rio Grande County). The birds
