The idea here is to protect channels right? A good way to protect channels are to also protect them from adding a wrong user name via a typo. If it's easy to implement, why not do it? If it's too costly resource wise then "we" can say "it's not our problem it's the channel manager's problem" Isn't

I Agree there, In the past I have had turkish channels adding me as 450 + in there channels without my concent , and then when there is trouble there they say "Well simba is 450 here" and I look quite foolish. Would be nice to have some acceptence like stoney said Simba
