I also deleted the obsolete md5 files and added the preferred sha256 files.

We should clean up some of our old releases out of the dist area. Note
that old releases (all of the way back to 0.1.0 are available on from the
archive https://archive.apache.org/dist/hadoop/common/ .
The current contents:
- hadoop-1.2.1
- hadoop-2.6.5
- hadoop-2.7.4
-
