I think FDOM has mplayer in it. You can try running "mplayer [path to
media file]" from a terminal.
The command "alsamixer" (terminal again) will bring up all the audio
controls you can modify. If you are running this from the device

So I had 2008.8 loaded and ran the FDOMizer script. It seemed to work
fine, and the phone boots fine. But I do have a few questions.
- On boot, the GUI is enlightenment. The wiki lists FDOM as a 'finger
friendly' distro, but enlightenment is pretty much stylus only. Is this

I had the same problems with FDOM 20081023. I flashed back to FDOM 20080927.
FDOM 20080927 is much more stable and I have been using it as my everyday
phone for a few weeks now.

Went into the /var/tmp/root dir, tarred up everything in there and then

I haven't missed any calls yet.
However, when i suspend manually (pressing the power button)
and want to wake the phone up manually, it turns on for half a second and
than off again. I always need to press the power button again.
(Also, it doesn't seem to make much difference)

Perhaps you are mixing testingskernel with 2008.9?
Testing looks nice, but as I have no audio in qtopia (mplayer works)
