Actually my concern is about the implementation of the input method.

I've already pushed to my git repository a working GLP'd
implementation, but without data files (thus just a blank window). I'm
waiting for this issue to be solved to be able to push the rest as
soon as possible. For now I am the only one in the world to use it
outside Android.

Or i could simply push those files and forget about patents. I mean,
it's just an open source implementation, who cares? :)

For me your Qi it's allways booting first uSD partition unless I add "noboot-
GTA02" to /boot directories

If I create noboot-GTA02 on every uSD partition, menu is booted, but if I 
select any uSD partition from bootmenu, it allways boot the distro on 
/dev/mmcblk0p5

This is my partition table:

There's sarcasm in that question, isn't there? Usually the patent office 
doesn't know or (bother to?) find out. 

The applicant for a duplicate patent also does not want to know or find out, 
because in that case they can be hold for triple damages in case of a complaint 
from the original patent holder.

For similar reasons there is little incentive for the original "inventor" to 
raise a flag before the other becomes successful: it takes trouble with 
probably little returns. It is worth much more in damages to complain after the 
(so called) copycat became successful.

My problem seems the same in [1]

I hadn't read that thread before. So only difference with your case is that no 
matter what glamo clocks I use, uboot cannot read partitions from my uSD 100% 
of times.

actually, it is over a year or so when i last used shr, so i cant remember all 
the steps i did to use this dutch list with the predictive keyboard. I do 
remember that it was worth the trouble to find out, it really really works much 
better with this list.

what i do remember:
* I downloaded a frequency list from http://www.inl.nl/
( i think i used this link: 
http://www.inl.nl/nl/component/content/416?task=view )
you have to register yourself before you can download
* I searched in my shr installation for the English word list used by the 
predictive keyboard (sorry i really cannot remeber the location)
* i took a look at this file to see how it was structured
* i took a editor to give my file the same structure as the english file
* i saved my file at the correct location on my shr-installation
(i'm  not sure, but it may be necessary to edit a configuration file)
* i was amazed with the result

i'm sure somebody else on this list can give you a hint where to store this 
file

But this open an interesting question.

Why is uSD partition card recognised with Qi and not with uboot?

Maybe my I/O problems are also related to uboot?

Will try to boot SHR from NAND with Qi, and see if my card stops givin I/O 
errors...

I think you can add a language like this:
In /opt/qtmoko/i18n/ create a folder nl_NL and in this folder you need a 
file named .directory - yes there is a point at the beginning. This file 
should hold a content like:
[Translation]
File=QtopiaI18N
Context=Dutch
[Desktop Entry]
Name[]=Dutch
Name[nl_NL]=Nederlansk

You have to correct the content yourself as I'm not that good with 
Dutch. :-)

I've tried to boot with non 242 uboot, and had no sucess.

Is seems kernel is not recognising me uSD partition table, that's why it 
doesn't boot.
My old friend "my card doesn't work with kernel > 2.6.32" :P

Ideally you want something in print with a verifiable publication date. A 
printed copy of "UIST '98 - Proceedings of the 11th annual ACM Symposium on 
User Interface Software and Technology" [1] might be available through 
university libraries if you can't get it direct from ACM. I don't know whether 
the 'Wired' article [2] made it into the print edition, but that's another one 
to check.

I sent 2 e-mails to Perlin, still no reply from him. This is
unfortunate... :S i'll try to get all the documents I can get by my
own, but i guess that without Perlin's help i won't get much far...
