[SHR-Testing] dillo.desktop

2009-03-05 Thread boilers...@gmail.com
Hi All,

after installing dillo (with 'opkg install dillo'), I had to add the line:
Categories=Office;
to the file:
/usr/share/applications/dillo.desktop
to make the exec icon appear on the desktop.

Shall I add a comment on:
http://www.shr-project.org/trac/ticket/264
or someone from the SHR dev team is listening and can comment on this ?

Re: [SHR-Testing] [Solved] Packages mismatch ?

2009-03-05 Thread boilers...@gmail.com
I had the same problem. Looks like Packages.gz is not up to date.
 Just run opkg install

Thanks, I confirm that I've fixed it with:
opkg install

Re: Acceleroids - shoot-the-asteroids game

2009-03-05 Thread boilers...@gmail.com
 Hello!

I'm glad to present you a new fully Freerunner-adapted game - Acceleroids -
a port of SDLRoids (an Asteroids clone).
The ship movement is controlled by an accelerometer while the cannon, shield
and bomb can be activated by touching bottom-right, bottom-left and
top-right corners of the screen accordingly. Shield+Shoot buttons
can be pressed simultaneously as well as Shield+Bomb (some sort of
 multi-touch simulation).

 Homepage: http://code.google.com/p/acceleroids/
 Opkg.org: http://www.opkg.org/package_154.html

The released packages are tested only by myself, so you are welcome to
 report about missing dependencies ;).
 Have Fun.

Great! Everything works ok on shr testing.

Installation went as follows:

I just wanted to splash about that I've released a new version of SATAN for
 the OpenMoko, available

Nice!

On shr testing:

I had to add:

to show up the icon on the desktop

and install the package libltdl3

Now I need some time and practice to make the soap groove some beats :D

[Om2008.12] Disable / Enable Accelerometer

Hi All,

if I've understood correctly, on Om2008.12 the Accelerometer does not get

it sends useless data

It seems that there aren't any kernel package that fixes it, please correct me

That said, I guess that the Accelerometer still drains battery power.

you can at best just modify the theme to have blank invisible stuff for

Hi Rasterman,

very well, thanks for your answer.

Oh! flaunch was the name!

I edited the theme file /usr/share/enlightenment/data/themes/asu/freerunner.edc
and deleted the FLAUNCH part:
the installer toolbar seems to be gone
and everything else seems to work ok.
Now the bottom of the screen is usable for more icons

[Om2008.12] Dbus ? Frameworkd ? Headset ?

2009-01-16 Thread boilers...@gmail.com
Hi All,

I'm trying to debug the OpenmokoFramework back-end
to get some notification when I plug / unplug the headset.

I've installed mickeydbus (
http://git.freesmartphone.org/?p=python-helpers.git;a=summary ) and when I run
it with mdbus -s -l
I only get some (every ~30 seconds):

listening for signals on SystemBus from service 'all', object 'all'...

 [SIGNAL]org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.PropertyModifiedfrom :1.0
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer_power_supply_battery_bat
(dbus.Int32(1),

dbus.Boolean(False), dbus.Boolean(False)), signature=None)],

dbus.Array([dbus.Struct((dbus.String(u'battery.reporting.rate'),
dbus.Boolean(False), dbus.Boolean(False)), signature=None)],
signature=dbus.Signature('(sbb)')))

and nothing happens when I plug / unplug the headset
nor when I create / delete a file.

Then I've installed cli-framework (
http://git.freesmartphone.org/?p=framework.git;a=summary )
and when I run it that's the result:

./cli-framework
ERROR:dbus.proxies:Introspect error on

hehe I'm missing something :)

Question:
how do I get notifications about headset plug / unplug insertion ?

 you should have

 find / -name rules.yaml

/usr/share/enlightenment/data/themes/asu/freerunner.edc does not have any
Bar; string )

can you help me ?

Thanks for supporting,

I mentioned in the other thread too that I missed a dependency of
python-pyalsaaudio. But, this time I found where I go it! You can find
a package for it in the shr repository.

Hi Dylan,

http://shr.bearstech.com/shr-testing/ipk/armv4t/python-pyalsaaudio_0.3-ml0.1_armv4t.ipk
fixes the missing module

so, I confirm that by following your instructions it works on a vanilla 2008.12

I'm not able to compare it with the upstream (
http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Pythm ) pythm
but to me the responsiveness looks perfect.

I also confirm that on my box the headset detection is not working
and that your thread
http://marc.info/?l=openmoko-communitym=122067281800506w=2 is a good starting
point for a fix.
On my box, the command
dbus-monitor --system
type='signal',path='/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/platform_neo1973_button_0_logicaldev_input'
does not output anything when I plug / unplug the headset.

For now I'm manually switching between alsa 'scenarios'
using your helpful http://atariland.net/~dreilly/openmoko/headphones.state file.

Great job!!
Thank you.
Mike
