I found this doesnt happen if I restart atd immediately after booting the phone - only has to be done once before running gpe-calendar (or ffalarms) for the first time. Also see my similar answer to ffalarms also having problems with atd on shr. I would like a solution to the the gpe-alarm going

I've waited to ask about this problem to see if anyone else has experienced it. I use gpe-calendar as my calendar software (tried "dates" but didn't like it). Every once in a while, when gpe-calendar is the visible app, the touch screen stops working. I can connect my FreeRunner to a compute
