Re: Think Reference

2005-12-31 Thread Sean Billings
I have Think C 5, it comes with a piece of software called Think Reference
Demo, it allows you to look up Calls and Traps etc, the demo only has a
couple of sections available, there was a full version which you would have
to pay for at the time, it is this full version I am after.

I remember the software you're talking about, but I don't know where
to get it either. I also have Think C 5 and always wanted Think
Reference, but IIRC, they wanted another $100 for the reference
package. I could just never bring myself to spend it.

Mactech took overthe product and still seem to be supplying it but it is
not the same as the original version that we both need. I have found
something called Obi Wan which has a database on it called force which is
the closest similar product I can find. We are only likely to be able to
source the original Think Reference if someone happens to find a copy on an
old Mac HD.

Regards Sean.

I have a copy of Think Reference v1, on 3 800 floppies. In total
about 1.5 MB stuffed. If someone is interested, I'm willing to mail
it or send it otherwise.

Best Regards and Season's Greetings

Not clear to me what you're asking for. I have Think's LightspeedC
by Symantec on 2 floppies. Not sure of the version; it's copyrighted
1988. Label says it's for Mac Plus, SE, and II.

I have the two-volume paperback manuals for it: User's Manual and
Standard Libraries Reference.

I have the two-volume Macintosh Programming Primer by Dave Mark,
which is based on this compiler.

They're yours for the cost of shipping if you want 'em.

I'm in the UK so the cost of shipping would probably be prohibitive, but
thanks for the offer.

I also have a compiler called Thin C, which I believe was a free
smaller version of Think C that came with the Dave Mark books.
