Re: [compiz] [ANNOUNCE] compiz-0.6.2
Hi Danny, This release has still the flipping window problem I described a while back (mail from 25.8.) When moving a window fast to the left screen, so the cube spins, the window seems to jump to the other side of the screen and flip back. -- Hanno Böck Blog: http://www.hboeck.de/ GPG: 3DBD3B20 Jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part. ___ compiz mailing list compiz@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/compiz
[compiz] Strange window flipping around
Hi, I have a glitch in all latest compiz versions (tried 0.5.2, 0.5.4 and git head+compiz-0.6 branch). When enabling cube and wobbly windows and moving a window left out of the screen (so the cube turns) the window seems to flip to the other side of the screen and back. This doesn't happen with 0.5. If required, I could try to make a film out of it. Any ideas what is wrong? I'd prefer to have this fixed before 0.6. -- Hanno Böck Blog: http://www.hboeck.de/ GPG: 3DBD3B20 Jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part. ___ compiz mailing list compiz@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/compiz

Re: [compiz] next release

Is that helpful? In theory, yes. In practice, it doesn't work, because you have to enable indirect rendering also for the check for tfp. But that's not possible at the moment, because the corresponding functions don't have a parameter for that. Only way to set it atm is via env-var LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT. Should probably be patched in mesa. -- Hanno Böck Blog: http://www.hboeck.de/ GPG: 3DBD3B20 Jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] pgpuxfL4uPygf.pgp Description: PGP signature ___ compiz mailing list compiz@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/compiz
Re: [compiz] reason for bad performance on i915 (AIGLX)
Am Donnerstag, 30. November 2006 15:10 schrieb Matthias Hopf: Hm. The second patch doesn't seem right, it doesn't help if only the server supports EXT_texture_from_pixmap. I wonder why this should help at all, because there won't be a function entry point (unless the used libGL is just broken and has the function, but not the extension string). The problem with this is that if you use direct rendering, glx won't return tfp in glx extensions. It only does if it's used with indirect rendering. And glxExtensions has no parameter for indirect rendering. I recently tried to write a proper patch for that, but it seems an enhancement to the glxExtensions-function would be needed, so you can pass indirect rendering option to it. -- Hanno Böck Blog: http://www.hboeck.de/ GPG: 3DBD3B20 Jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] pgpbHaVmD9f2V.pgp Description: PGP signature ___ compiz mailing list compiz@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/compiz
Re: [compiz] Better keybindings for move and resize
Am Dienstag, 22. August 2006 16:03 schrieb David Reveman: Also, now that the new bindings code has landed, maybe it's time for a release? How about 0.1.0? Perhaps we could even create a 0.1 stable branch at this point. Oh, and from a distributor point of view, would it be possible to replace the Novell logo in the source with a generic compiz logo? The Novell logo is trademarked and can not be redistributed which makes it somewhat awkward to package compiz. Yes, we should do a 0.1 release sometime soon. I'll fix the logo issue asap. Sounds good, but I'd suggest working on getting it run out of the box on both aiglx/xgl. (that from what I remember would mean window overlay support in compiz) -- Hanno Böck Blog: http://www.hboeck.de/ GPG: 3DBD3B20 Jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] pgpSC9cFI0eoV.pgp Description: PGP signature ___ compiz mailing list compiz@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/compiz
