Two issues here.
1.Window previews dont disappear at times when mouse is pulled away from
launcher. I need to mouseover an icon without windows open (like swither) to
hide preview.
2.Only a screenshot can make things clear. Please find attatched few

Here it is not fixed yet. Fort my tests I disabled all additional plugins, but
I still get the flickering, so I am still forced to use Unity2d here.
The flickering frequency lowers and overall usability gets better when
disabling the copy-to-texture plugin, but I have found no real workaround

I don't think I understand this fully, I thought metacity can do window
shadow itself, and previously shadow settings specified in compiz only
applies to menus. in precise right now, shadow value in metacity theme
file doesn't work, compiz shadow works and menu follows inactive

This happens for me too in Oneiric. I've been on Oneiric since October
but I don't recall having this problem until the past month and now it's
a daily occurrence. All I have to do is maximize a window, minimize it,
then restore it again. The problem occurs whether the window is fully

I am able to reproduce this in Unity 2D (up-to-date so I'd be using
5.8). I have not tried with Unity 3D (compiz) yet.
I can only seem to get the [META]/[SUPER] key to work by itself and not
any other combinations (like [META]+1 (Marlin), [META] + S (workspaces)
or [ALT] + [TAB]), nor can I get
I tried to reproduce in Unity 3D (compiz) but could not.
Perhaps this bug should be considered closed and a new one filed for my
issue with Unity 2D (unless there is already one I haven't found yet -
will keep looking).

and downgrade to that version of compiz using synaptic.

This is 100% reproducible for me in shotwell if it was set to full screen
during previous launch.
Subsequent launching of shotwell will always show the gap below the fullscreen
window.
