Hi all,
is this still in progress? I would like to see the behaviour also changed so
that it detects any open window and resets itself so that the next click on
Show Desktop minimizes everything. It's like this in metacity and windows.
I probably filed a duplicate bug here:
At least as far as I've been able to tell - damage events simply don't
come through whenever the decoration is updated.

Thanks Icek for post #36. This is a nice workaround when you can put such a
launcher in a panel. Mine is xfce4-panel, so I'm good now.
However, it is not a good solution for the Unity launcher, since once the
button is pressed, it will remain unclickable for a few seconds -- button

I've been thinking that compiz needs an option, probably in the opengl
plugin, to graphically highlight damage regions. Or even to
automatically diff successive frames and highlight where the screen is
changing outside of the damage region. It would make diagnosing bugs
like this far easier.

With all of the latest updates in Proposed, I changed the profile from
Default to unity in CompizConfig Settings Manager's Preferences
section. That seemed to fix it. Thanks!
