Constance,
Apple's business model for the iPhone - buy it at Apple or ATT, then
activate and choose services at home or office - if they couple it with
their user interfaces that many people love, is the change point. You
can bet that Apple will provide technical assistance through their
genius
I have an Apple Powerbook, it's a G4, 857mgh, 15 inch model. It wont run
when using the ac adaptor and the battery isn't being charged. The light
where the adaptor plugs into the computer is orange and not green.
Not sure exactly what is at fault, it could the the ac adaptor, something

A follow up on this is that Sprint claimed that they were recalling
not just a few times a month, but excessively, maybe 100's of times a month.
I equate this with the person who has more than a few wrecks being
told he will have to find a new insurer.

Most Cell companies have automated ways of answering that

have to do this periodically as I have a son who likes to use the

The Apple Powerbook ac adaptors are known to have problems with the
dc cable and the dc connector. Try to borrow a known good ac adaptor
to determine if it's the adaptor or something else.

That makes it fairly certain that it is the power brick. Just to be sure
try it from a different outlet and plug in directly into the wall (do not
use a power strip).
Tipping point? Tom, you have to stop sniffing the iPhone glue.
The iPhone has a very nice interface, no question. But beyond that, no
killer app; it's not doing anything that already isn't being done by other
smart/cell phones and media players. It's clearly evolutionary, not the
other thing.
I think this is rather stupid and bad PR for Sprint and may yet backfire on
them, but if what has been reported about the people being dropped is true,
then I probably wouldn't blame Sprint.
Of course, there is also the chance that some of these people had a
legitimate complaint that wasn't being

That would be me. It's a Sony GTX-610UI(sorry, from

iPod friendly stereos. There's a posting on the cnet
site saying that they had a car radio from Target also
has a USB slot and an

Tom, if you are right, at least you have a lot of company in the technical
press.

When you say the battery is not being charged I presume you mean it
has been removed from the Powerbook? Or is the battery indicator
saying it does not need a charge?
Mine will not start if the battery is installed but completely run
down. It will run if the dead battery is removed. And
The iPhone is pretty, but it's much too expensive for my budget; and
ATT has by reputation the WORST record of coverage of the national
capitol area of any of the major carriers. (I checked.) Since
coverage is one of my two main issues at the moment, I guess the
iPhone is not for me.
It will probably take my lifetime, but the FCC would like to change
this so that the Iphone would be portable on any GSM network.
