I use Adobe InDesign. InDesign gives lots of choices for export, including prepress, crop marks, compressing images, embedding fonts [default], compatibility with earlier versions of Acrobat Reader. Only Postscript fonts can be embedded [? maybe]. A PDF/X file embeds lots of extra information

IDE is simple. If it is the only one make sure it is set as master. On the U160/U320 which are SCSI drives. You have them plugged into their adapters, and I assume they are both properly terminated? Once you make sure they are terminated, I am not sure how to make the BIOS recognize them

OK I get it you need the CDROM to be recognized. Check the cable connection it may look connected but it may not be properly. Also check the power connections. Swap out power connections if possible. Also if after you check the cables and verify they are all properly seated and connected.
