[CGUYS] USB Malfunction

Can anyone tell me why on a Windows XP machine with a scanner, printer, and multi-card reader all on USB the printer loses connectivity from time to time? Also I noticed in Device Manager there are 4 USB controller though there are 6 USB ports. What is the relation?

This seems to be generally true. I've seen this on every computer I have, admittedly all Windows 2000. I suspect that each piece of USB hardware (controller, hub, etc, as well as peripheral) has a unique hardware address, similar to the MAC address that Ethernet adapters and other networking

If you Google the terms: ebay password change notification it will come up with a scam that sounds similar. You might want to verify directly with EBay that they are in fact the ones requesting your password change. You could maybe find out the reason behind the frequent change requests.
