I am in Vienna, VA. and can't get channels 7 and 9. I have an Antennas
Direct model DB2 external antenna (UHF) as well as an amplified UHF/VHF
rabbit ear antenna, plus several non-amplified ones. None provides any
picture at all on the two channels.
I was aware but paid little attention to
I don't care about television. But I am counting on you guys to solve
the reception issues for OTA digital TV before OTA digital radio becomes
more common. I live in western Loudoun county VA, so have not yet put
up the money for a receiver to see if I can receive digital radio.
Thank you,
From what I've been reading and hearing from people who bought one,
digital radio is the least attractive choice. I have asked several
people who have both satellite and OTA digital and they told me they
stopped using the OTA digital because the signal was so unreliable.
YMMV.

Thanks for the response, Tom. I am asking now, while there are still
plenty of analogue radio broadcasts because it would appear to be the
next band of spectrum the FCC can harvest, that analogue radio will

This seems unlikely, at least at this time. Compared to TV, the
frequencies used by the present broadcast radio stations is tiny, so
there's no great advantage to going digital.
More likely what will happen is some sort of 4G or Wimax solution. But

Finally today. Signal strength is between 85 and 90, which is plenty
good enough, but not the 100 I get with most other stations. Hooray!
