Here is what is reported to be a good listing of the Dark Knight in
Imax for the US and Canada.

Surprisingly it doesn't have a DC location.
Some might consider the Chantilly, VA location as the DC area, even
though it's some 45 minutes outside of DC's center. Udvar-Hazy is part
of the DC's Smithsonian. Dark Knight tickets are 12.50 plus 12.00
parking; Ouch! How many people can you stuff into a car ;-)

I've been looking around our local imax theaters to go see Dark Knight
since this is one of the few movies actually shot and not converted
for imax. I don't know anything about the tech specs behind imax,

I wanted to see Batman at the imax, as noted before, portions were actually
shot using imax stock. The only problem here, a local theater chain has a
deal with the only full size imax theater in the valley to not run any
Jeff,
How much would you say was shot in imax? Worth the money and perhaps a

It was f***ing awesome. (Here endeth the review)
I would kill to see it in Imax.

I'm taking my dad next week...figure imax film is about 1/3 more picture in
height then what you can see in a regular theater. I suppose not unlike
seeing a movie in 4:3 or 16:9.

Only a few scenes were 'shot' (rendered?) in Imax. Reviews indicate on an
Imax screen most of the film is smaller with those scenes being physically
much larger. Cityscapes and such.
We're going to Orlando FL 8/11-8/14. I wonder if they'll still be showing it
then on Imax? Being on vacation I
