Philips, at Costco. We joined Costco at the $100 business membership,

Ok, the time may be upon me. My wife has finally at long last, after much
debate, and silence on the subject agreed to go *look* at a new tv.
A discontinued sharp aquos is looking like the likely buy. 1299 gets us a
42 lcd at max 1080p resolution. Any thoughts on real world lcd vs plasma
is
Oh you will be very surprised at how nicely the signal (ordinary)
looks on a new LCD TV. We just got one this year and it is sharp and
nice. (No HD just digital box, but even that is nice)
DVD's look stupendous.
We got a 32/37 (cant remember) for about half that, and it is still
nice.
P.S.
I should have mentioned that an LCD screen currently becomes very
expensive if larger than about 40 - 45 inches. Thus, a plasma TV costs
less for a larger screen than approximately this size.
