Places like Staples, Office Depot, etc. sell lap desks for around $30 or less. I'm using one now. I 'm travelling and using a samsung netbook. I like the navy lid. I sit on the couch at my bro's, cross my legs and balance the netbook on a pillow. This can't be good as it blocks the fan vents. [CGUYS] A real live computer question
Windows XP Pro Printer: HP Deskjet F4180 The printer has decided not to print any more black text. If I take any text document and change the color to blue or red from black, it prints beautifully. If I leave the text black, it does not print, however, all the graphics will print either in full color or in grayscale. Yes, I changed the cartridge. Any thoughts? Many options... 1) Don't hold it that way. 2) Demand that the manufacturer give you a new one for free with vents in a different location. 3) Blog about the defect. 4) File a class action suit. Have you tried removing and reinserting the battery while it is fully charged? Sometimes the computer gets confused about the state of the battery and doing this will reset things. You may also want to look if there is a way to reset the laptop's power manager. I do not know enough about SSUS to tell you how. Try getting a new printer driver from HP or reloading the orignial one. (I vote for the former and not the latter).
