Bug still exists in XFree86-server-4.3-2mdk. I disabled acpi in lilo with
acpi=off. XFree86 still locks up on logout or shutdown.

Any chance that you have ACPI turned on. I was able to cure the shutdown on
my laptop with the same symptoms by turning off ACPI.

I also experience this bug with XFree86 4.3-1mdk on a Compaq Presario 1720.
It has a Radeon Mobility M6 LY (AGP).

My Prostar 2.4Gig Intel ,Ati radeon 9000 locks up on shutdown or restart or logout.
