Pancakes are my favorite breakfast. I can stir up the batter, but my
problem is timing them, and turning them. Any suggestions? Now I just
substitute frozen waffles, life is always a compromise. right?

Wow, this is fascinating. I would listen to her because I was still
learning Spanish as my second language. Then I had the privelege of
reading the recipe book. Thank you for sharing this; it means a lot to
me as I really wanted to perfect my Spanish, and I guess she served as a
mentor to me
Do you remember who wrote the book "Food at Your Fingertips"or where it was
published?

I like it ... Ugly English Braille. I believe they were trying to make it
easier for Braille transcriptionists as I've heard some partially sighted folks
say that the UEB looks like the print of whatever the new Braille is supposed
to be. I can read it, but I sure can't write it. I'll be 58 in

I did something dumb right after I got my air fryer. Being I am in my late

I was here by myself in the house and decided to put some frozen fries in the
air fryer, and then said oh well, I’ll have a frozen burger too.
Hi all,
Here is a pancake recipe I use often. You can add berries or chocolate
chips if you wish.
1 stick butter melted and cooled
2 cups buttermilk
3 eggs
1 -1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1-1/2 cup flour
Melt butter in microwave safe bowl. (I use a mixing

This is very interesting. I think the second book on this list may have been

Hi
I caught a paper towel on fire a couple months ago. Yes, really. I was
draining bacon and I had the plate I was draining it on too close to the
flame. The paper towel was hanging over the edge, more than I thought. I
am too experienced to make such a mistake. It is the kind of dumb thing

I did the same thing with a paper towel. As soon as I put the pan in the
oven, the paper towel caught on fire. I had enough vision to see this little
wall of flame in the bottom of my oven. At that time, there was a land line
in my kitchen. I instinctively grabbed the phone. Within seconds, the

Yes, I either get burned bottoms and uncooked tops on my pancakes or just

I used to have lots of trouble with pancakes. I either didn't cook them with
enough oil so that they stuck to the pan and didn't turn correctly, or I
tried to turn them too early and made an equally terrible mess of them. Now

My most embarrassing but instructive kitchen blooper happened when I was in my
first college apartment and involved a paper towel. I learned to keep my
counter and range tops free and clear of everything. The paper towel stuck to
the bottom of a damp cookie sheet and went into the oven with the

Hi everyone,
For those looking for Elena Emilia Zelayeta books(see below my name).
Titles are listed on Amazon, but not sure of prices. She did a show,
from what I found out, in San Francisco.
She was born in 1898 in Mexico and died in 1974. If I remember right,
a brief biography of her was
