Actually if others of you want to contribute, there is this heads kgpe-d16
port that permits to flash directly from the heads coreboot payload with
Timothy's patches on the flashrom tools. You may want to take a look here :

Actually, for OpenBMC work, hotplugging is often the only way to go.
Just be very careful to align the pins correctly the first time; you
don't have a second chance if you misalign the pins and fry the module...
