Daniel, this first posting of yours came through so I would say you are already
a part of the List.
Might I suggest that when you post about your ancestors that you include as
much as you know about their names, dates and townland if possible.
I would also include their religion.

Hullo Barrie,
According to my Phillips Atlas of Tyrone, Cottage Hill is approx. 2 kms south
of Aughnacloy just off the A28 - Caledon Road.
If you google “Cottage Hill, Caledon, Tyrone” you will come up with lots of
matches and even photographs of the house.

Hullo Carol,
I would suggest you consult Cyndi’s List https://www.cyndislist.com/canada/
where you may find more information about the shipwreck.
I also did a Google search and see that many people have genealogical
information on the web about Hacketts.

Maybe some of this item is missing. I cannot see any Wilsons mentioned
anywhere except in the heading.

Hi Rachel,
On the shipping list can you read where the parents live? Maybe this is a clue.
If you Google “Haddon/an/en (keep an open mind about the spelling) Aghaloo
Tyrone” there are quite a few entries.

I guess from the various postings about the Kennedy family in particular that
someone on the List is researching Kennedy.
I too am researching Kennedy from the parish of Templecarne, Fermanagh/Donegal.
I am wondering if the Kennedy researcher has been DNA tested.

Cheryl you don’t say when your ancestor came to Australia but if you Google
“British Army Lists” you will find various internet sites and libraries which
have the Lists available. You might even find them on Trove.

Hi Cheryl,
It is some time since I looked up these British Army Lists - you might even
find the Mitchell Library has some copies.
My recollection is that you can often find copies of the actual form signed
when the person enlisted.
I think you need to read the information on the various web site

Hullo Rick,
My only comment is that in my experience “Edward” is not a name used commonly

Thanks for these Wilson Notes Len.
Unfortunately when the majority of one’s Wilsons were named James and the
others Robert it is very
difficult to work out who is related to whom.
