Hi Cheryl, It is some time since I looked up these British Army Lists - you might even find the Mitchell Library has some copies. My recollection is that you can often find copies of the actual form signed when the person enlisted. I think you need to read the information on the various web sites - I would even try FamilySearch Catalogue as they have lots of information there. The other place is WorldCat.org. It think some of the lists are called Hart’s Army Lists or something similar. I think it is worth persevering with. Many of these Regiments still exist today and have volunteers running websites etc. Many years ago I was looking for early Army enlistments and I was amazed what was available. Lots of googling would be my suggestion.
