This would be classified as a newbie question. How would one create e-mail

I'm not sure where the problem lies, but now that I
got the mail system working, when I do a ps -aux, I
see that there are about 25 instances of apache

when people access their mail. Anyone know about
this?

Hi everyone
I have a problem trying to compile courier-imap, i describe it:
* Linux Madrake 8.1 (kernel 2.4.8-26mdk)
* courier-imap 1.7.0
*qmail 1.03
* gcc 2.96
First, i set configure and it complained about dblib ( i want to use
authuserdb),so i download Berkeley db 4.1.25. and installed,
I keep getting the following message:
Feb 12 15:29:43 east /kernel: pid 47671 (couriertls), uid 0: exited on
signal 11 (core dumped)
Feb 12 15:44:52 east /kernel: pid 47770 (couriertls), uid 0: exited on
signal 11 (core dumped)
Feb 12 15:46:30 east /kernel: pid 47783 (couriertls), uid 0:
Easier way to do this is to create aliases in the
../../courier/etc/aliases/system file and keep adding and removing people
from it as and when nececssary.

I am thinking of implementing ATRN - aka 'On Demand Mail Relay', RFC2645: a

dynamic IP address. I want the message store to be a Maildir, not an MTA

My understanding is that you need three bits of information
for ssl/tls to work (when not using self-signed certs):
1) your private key, generated by yourself and kept secret.
2)
