In Outlook 2000 click Edit, Purge Deleted Messages. That removes them from
the server.

Docs on PHP's MIME functions don't seem easy to come by. Try these, see

two things you can do.
1. there should be a button that says "purge." This will delete marked
messages.
2. there should be an option called "purge imap folders on exit" which will
do it for you when you change folder.

As the tags say it, the message is Seen and Trashed... If you want to
remove it from the server, you have to purge your message... This is what I
have to do with Microsoft Outlook Express... I don't know MS Outlook but I
assume that it is the same way... You use here a characteristic
