Barbara- I hear what you are saying about not capping. Are you willing to
share what the biggest single profit share payout you've been able to give

Re: [Coworking] Re: Google Calendar Room Booking App - Do You Know One?

2017-03-24 Thread Barbara Sprenger
Got it, Bernie. Sounds like the getaroomapp route may be your best bet! As an
aside, we use Google Calendar for scheduling each other, and you just have to
share your calendar with the people you want to be able to schedule on it. Not
sure that works for you, but maybe!

If you know of a very light touch meeting room booking software that

A full blown CRM / room booking/event suite/coworking software package

I kind of agree with Scott. When I used to be a rep, I hated it when a
percentage was capped — I produced more but made less of it. Also, in our
business, with high fixed costs and low marginal costs, you’re making more on
last dollar, so there really isn’t a reason to cap.

We really like using bonuses. Our center managers get 5% of profit each

Re: [Coworking] Re: Question about commissions or bonuses for Community Managers

2017-03-24 Thread Scott Tillitt / BEAHIVE
Alex, why the cap? Doesn't that also max out the incentive to outperform?

[Coworking] NYC Masters Candidate Students Want to Explore Coworking

2017-03-24 Thread Joy Stephan
Hi All,

A few (3) Organizational Change Management students from my alma matter
want to learn about coworking spaces. In particular, they'd like to see
different types of spaces and talk to members briefly about their
experience. They are all adults who will be respectful of your members'
time- They are already set up to visit Grind and the Centre for Social
Innovation. If you have a space, and are open to having a student join you
for an afternoon in the kitchen area, or other high traffic non-work area
that would be appropriate, DM me and I'll share more
details.

Happy Friday! Joy

[Coworking] Re: Coworking de Arte

2017-03-24 Thread Darlan

[Coworking] Community Kick off

2017-03-24 Thread wayne
Hey there;

At long last we're having a get together of folks interested in the space I'm
working on at a local restaurant that's helping get this going. It's an
afternoon
of working in their space, followed by a "meet & greet" where I'll share a
vision for what we're building, share preliminary membership levels and
amenities, and solicit feedback. Then, we're welcome to hang out and eat /
imbibe
together.

Any thoughts on how to make thins first connection the best it can be?
Event is next Tuesday 3/28, http://hinesburghub-kickoff.eventbrite.com

Thanks!

Kindly,

[Coworking] Re: Local Government and Coworking

2017-03-24 Thread Rik Ahlberg
Hi Carina,

I'm on the board of a non-profit that is working to open a space that's a
mix of artist studios, coworking, civic space, and economic development
resources. We successfully sought a town Economic Development grant last
fall and just signed a land development agreement for a long-term lease of
a 9,000 sf town building.

The grant we received was primarily to do the market survey and analysis to
identify needs of the local community and find out what kinds of resources
they are looking for in a creative workspace.

It was important in our process to really quantify the economic need. We
sourced lots of detail from prior reports and studies that have been done
before, especially as it relates to very small business (1-4 employees),
the incomes of year-round artists, and the lack of affordable office and
studio space.

You can find more details of our project on our web site at

Thanks Barbara - the thing is we have one room and are looking for
something that works directly with what we use - Google Calendar / Slack /
