Try using meetup.com. It is a great social media website that allows
people to set up group meetings. What we do is offer our space for free
to our targeted members , web designers, start ups, entrepreneurs,
internet companies etc. This brings people initially into your space and

Does anyone else have a kooky landlord? Ours happens to office from
the same floor where our space is and he recently brought in his
record player--yes, the vinyl kind and rocks out every afternoon.
Anyway, please share your odd landlord stories here so that I can feel
normal.

Oh, I just figured out another way to promote your space: steal "customers"
from other, existing spaces! You poach the Yelp or other online page for a
coworking site, and solicit those reviewers/visitors to come to your space.
Totally insidious, huh? Yet, there are people and coworking facilit

I guess I have some "unique" residents, relative to other coworking. We have
one of those multi-function copy/print/fax/scan that zips along at 33
pages/min, and we get easily 7000+ copies or prints/mo. EVERYONE asks for it.
Even the fax, although only 1/wk there. Then again, we do have peop
A large sign on our door (plus a QR code) describing that we're
upstairs has done a lot to capture random foot traffic that wanders by
our door. I'm working on approval for a sandwich board sign out front
too to hi-lite what events are happening in the space.

Between 35 members, only about 3 people use it to print about 30 pages

And one important part I forgot to add in: we reserve hosting group events
at Office Nomads after-hours or on weekends to Residents only. It keeps
things really simple. We have a walk-through training that we take Residents
through if they want to be event hosts at our space, which includes that

Office Nomads only asks for deposits from our Resident (24/7) members. We
decided on a deposit as these folks have access to our entire space during
non-staffed hours, and thereby pose more of a risk than our part-time
members.
That said, security is more than a deposit. We have a policy with any
Hey Everyone,
A guy just wandered into our coworking space in Fort Lauderdale by the name of
Todd Myers. He was really interested in the idea of coworking and has a space
in Toledo, Ohio that we thought would be great for it. He just needs someone to
market it and manage it. Anyone in Toledo in
Thanks for the info, Sheila. Fremont is definitely too far for me. I
don’t need a place to spend all day. I need somewhere I can go for an

Hi Jessica,
we at co.up (www.co-up.de) have choosen a laser b/w/scanner/fax combo

It was affordable to buy - for a more demanding solution -, printing
cost are low and the duplex scanner allows easy digitalization of

Also a big plus for brother is the co
