That was the question I was going to ask.
But the one you ask, Niki, is a good one. What kinds of resources have
folks used? any ideas?
and while I am at it, are there any coworking locations in the UAE?

Hello Community!
I'm researching a story for Shareable.net about coworking and
connections to city governments. And once again, I'm wondering if you
might share your thoughts on the following questions:
Do you have any experience working with local government? What sparked
the interaction? Was it

Your incubator comment is spot on. The fixed term of membership is something
that I associate with incubators. I think the idea is that they want to
provide feedback and support to their start-ups, but at a certain point the
law of diminishing returns comes into play, and the incubator needs to put

Hi All,
We're super psyched to announce that we released Loosecubes 2.0 last Friday!
We know that the magic of coworking depends on the people who participate in
and support it, so we've designed the new Loosecubes to bring people and
community to the center.

Hi, all. I had an agreement with a property management company where my
office is now, to expand and open a coworking center in the next couple of
months. We were going to split the revenues 50/50 until the center got going
and then I was going to pay her a monthly rental to which she agreed.

I think we've all had our share of disappointments when the press
comes and wants to do a story about our communities and coworking. No
matter how hard we try to pull their focus off the physical amenities
and on to the coworkers, they tend to glom on to everything that
doesn't matter.

Wow. I'd be devastated to ask a long time and committed member to move
along so that a new member could take their place. Coworking is
proving that the value they get increases over time--it doesn't
decrease, so there's no benefit to churning your membership if
everyone is contributing and creating
They would want you to ask an early adopter who has proven they can be a
productive part of the community to leave if a brand new unknown unproven
person came along? I wonder if you'd have a hard time getting members if
they knew there was an end date to their membership. In fact, I wouldn't be

Dear All,
It is great to follow these exciting posts about the coworking movement.
I am now setting up a little cosy coworing space in Brussels, about
5-9 places, one big community table and 3-4 fixed individual tables.
Any tips and hints on how to set it up are welcome.

Hi All!
I've been working on starting a coworking space in Ocean Beach (San
Diego) for about 6 months now. I've identified a couple candidate
locations but what makes a successful coworking space is the
community. To that end, I've created a Meetup group to gather like-
minded people in this eff
This is just my two cents, absent of specific co-working facility
operations experience, but perhaps it'll help you think about your
problem differently ...
There's two primary groupings that possible scenarios might fall under,
albeit along a continuum between these two extremes:

Hi all.
It's been a few months since my last post and could really do with
some advice. So, we've been working with the local university and
government for quite a while now to get our site open and I had a
progress meeting earlier in the week. I discovered that a few odd
