In the 1980's (yes I am older than you folks), I was part of a
coworking group (although we did not use the term coworking - we
called ourselves small systems guild). Anyway one of our members was a
bit smelly. But we were open in our group and did not have problems
discussing it with him.
i live in a warm humid place where body odors are quite common and deodorant
penetration/usage is low. It becomes worse in the heat and when people come
into closed air-conditioned spaces. People have a high tolerance here as we
are used to crowded jammed public transport where you are literally
I'd be interested in helping with the videoconferencing part of it
(for instance, having 2 coworking experts from 2 different cities
called in to the same podcast). You can email me at
soc...@lifesize.com and we can discuss more.

Hi Guys ,
This is the first time I am writing to this group and very excited!
I am an Israel entrepreneur planning to open in the next month a coworking
for web users in Tel aviv.
I feel this group is a great gift so thank you very much for sharing and
organizing this event.
please let us know
Mika,
This is awesome. I visited Israel a couple of years back and realized how
prime Israel is for coworking. The Kibbutz model as a community workspace is
remarkable, and coworking feels like an updated version of something already
native to Israeli culture. I'd love to talk more about this,
Hey All,
I don't want to come of as soliciting this group in anyway shape or
form. Especially when all of you have been an amazing resource for one
of my future coworking initiatives.
For the some of you who know me and have engaged with me, are aware
that we are effortlessly trying to
On a related note, I'm mildly allergic (headache) to most aftershaves and
perfumes (I discovered this one day when a coworker told me he was wearing
lady killer after I told him I had a splitting headache). I'm certainly
not going to bust into the space and start demanding people not do what
I can't believe its been 8 months since the last episode of TheCoworkers!
I'm also interested in keeping this alive. I have fairly extensive
experience in media production including large, complicated web projects and
experience in AV and production.
I could take the role of Producer and do
Alex, would you be interested in recording one more session to introduce
the idea that the podcast is going to start featuring people from around the
coworking community? I personally would like to see an Alex/Jacob podcast,
or another Alex/Tony podcast. Or an Alex/Angel episode. Or an
In to doacratic spirit (do being the active word), I've started a Google
Spreadsheet to plan future episodes (link at end of post).
I propose we stick with current format but do it monthly instead of weekly,
ie:
- 2 people on the podcast, either 2 hosts or 1 host 1 guest (interview
format)
-
Jonathan-
I love this idea! It's almost as brilliant as you are :)

InHub Coworking in Victoria, British Columbia is officially launching this
week and I'm just preparing our first rent cheque for our landlord.
Much as Alex has discussed, we found a landlord with a vacancy he wanted
filled and could grasp the business model. We worked with a very

David,
You can't use the general rule of 10% of your income being in rental
income since this is your greatest expenses compared to most
businesses where employees are their biggest expenses (excluding
certain special manufacturers). You have to ask yourself a few
questions when developing the
Hey Y'all
On the topic of sliding rent programs, in real estate parlance these are
known as *participating leases, *wherein the landlord participates in the
income stream of the property as part of their total compensation.
Participating leases often consist of some base amount plus a
Wow. There is a lot of interest in this topic.
I would like for several people to be the host of the show much like
TWIT show. There is a one constant host but several different experts
contribute, like a total of 4 hosts for each episode. I think our
coworking communities have different needs
Jonathan,
This is a great initiative. Xindanwei community and myself would love to be
part of it!
cheers,
