I could already add it to the aggregation build, but I don't think the

As I don't expect any project to depend on aCute, I don't think opting back
out would be a risk. But I understand there is not yet a process ready for
that...

Mickael,

When will you be able to get Eclipse aCute into the aggregation build?

The existing process assumes that once you opt-in, you're in. There's no
notion of opting back out AFAIK.

Can you please make a point of asking your PMC to address this to the
Eclipse Planning Council? We need to have their call regarding the timing
of a final decision.

2017-11-30 Thread Mickael Istria
Eclipse aCute: C# development in Eclipse IDE would like to join the Photon
release train, with an offset of +3.
Here is the (empty shell) release record:
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.acute/releases/0.2.0

Note that a feasibility of this contribution depends on upstream issues in
OmniSharp. Some change in this upstream non-Eclipse.org project are still
necessary before we can consider Eclipse aCute of good enough quality to
join Simultaneous Release. So, in case OmniSharp doesn't manage to ship the
necessary changes in time, aCute may have to leave the release train.
So please read it as an *intent* to bring Eclipse aCute to Simultaneous
Release, but this is not enough for it to happen.
If you're deeply interested in this topic, please get in touch with the
project mailing-list to sort out how you can contribute to aCute and
related projects and increase the chances of being part of Photon
simultaneous release and delivery.

Please link it from the participating projects list (as announced
earlier, we intent to participate in Photon, again at offset +3).

Best wishes,
