Ah! This turns out to be the key. It doesn't have to do with the
key+button; it has to do with f.exec. Bind it
Oh, by the way: I also tested with an empty .ctwmrc to make sure
it's not just one of my options. Same problem.

thanks for testing! I sill suspect there is a bug i ctwm as it
works fine in twm, see below.
