I had an old copy of the FAQ (the file mod date is Nov. 21 2000, but I'm
not sure if that's the original mod time or the time at which I downloaded
it). This copy of the FAQ did not mention the "paste-from-clipboard"
readling action.

confused me a bit.
If I cannot find a .inputrc file, should I create one?
If so, where should I put it?
What entries would work to allow:
- paste into console from a right click;
- paste into console from a ctrl+v com
