Clipboard not working with rxvt

The clipboard isn't working for me when I use rxvt. For example - if I startxwin, then launch rxvt and ssh -X hostname, then launch an X client, say xterm, I cannot copy + paste between xterm and Windows notepad. If I use putty instead of rxvt, it works. /tmp/XWin.log isn't showing anything
