I compiled the new version (revision 79e8763) and tried it out on the test images and also on a copy of my main database. The speed improvement is considerable; none of the tagging operations I tried took more than seven seconds to complete. I am looking forward to using this in a stable release.

[darktable-dev] New packages needed for Darktable build on Fedora.

Recently I had occasion to compile Darktable on a vanilla installation of Fedora 25. After installing all the packages listed on the installation page , I also needed to install gtk3-devel and pugixml-devel before Darktable would compile. -- August
