thanks for that, looks almost good. a few remarks:
- there is DT_IS_BAUHAUS_WIDGET() already, why define IS_BAUHAUS_SLIDER ?
also the latter macro doesn't actually check for slider, but for
GTK_DRAWING_AREA. you probably want to assert (w->type ==
DT_BAUHAUS_SLIDER) either way.
- why redefi
seems to crash in libjpeg.so.8..? fwiw i can export on ubuntu 13.04 just
fine (100s of images not a problem). darktable links to the same dso. did
anything change in your configuration? especially thread counts and memory
limits?

This has been deactivated by default (don't know why though!). To
activate this just add -DUSE_CAMERA_IMP
I am running the ppa . perhaps it was overlooked in the last build

there were repeated complaints about data loss (move files from cf card via
gphoto, have the `delete after import' aka `shoot me in the foot' option
checked). mostly this is due to some portion of user error (disk full,
check this option in the first place) or sudden disconnect from gphoto.

Would it be practical to provide that as a core option if there really
is a problem? Let users disable it as needed.
Importing from the camera provided a great many conveniences and allowed
a consistent and easy development of the data base. Without this feature
importing is cumbersome and crud

choosing anything in the noise profile module. Any thoughts? Canon Rebel T3

DT1.2 (PPA) + Ubuntu 12.04 LTS + Nikon D5200 + Kit lens:
Autodetection doesn't work so added to lensfun database description of
new camera (actually I just copied D5000's description). Now camera is
correctly detected by DT but lens are not for some reason. Here is
output of exiv
