It depends how many folders you need to access. A different approach (like date) may be more appropriate. It is possible however to daisy chain. In my selection - I use images taken 2016:08 (but are not red) and also 2016:07 (I noticed it included the reds from July so I excluded them again)

I would do the following 1. Select the folder or location with all images that you filter 2. Add a rule narrow down selection. Change it to "except" https://www.darktable.org/usermanual/ch02s03s02.html.php Look at the bottom - "combining rules" Works for me on ubuntu 14.04 and DT 2.0.5

DT 2.0.5 on arch. I'm having problem collecting images * I have 8 film rolls. All the images related to 1 topic (basically a union). * Now I want to shrink the whole group to only the images that have a color label. How do I do that? How do I add: except the no color label to the whole
