Hi,
The main difference between them is that the tone curve works on
prophotoRGB (when in rgb mode) and rgb curve works with the work profile.
Then there are some new options on rgb curve:
-you can scale it so the middle grey is at 50% (compensate middle grey)
-you can zoom by cntrl+scroll
-you

but the promise of a non-destructive image editor is that old
functionality doesn't go away, so suggesting to remove the tone curve

Hi Fynn,
You are doing fine, but some may have issues with the screenshot,
why not crop the image before exporting?
Also, Bruce Williams has an informative series of YouTube videos

Hello list.
After renaming ~/.config/darktable the "olympus-like" basecurve is
applied automatically and the pictures don't look dull. "olympus-like"
is now also bold/marked when I right-click the basecurve mudule.
I should have removed/renamed my old dt config folder when switching

I'm asking, because "tone curve" seems to be buggy now [1], and it was
Thank you for all this information.
I checked a xmp sidecar file after importing/tagging with digikam. When
starting dt and read the folder the xmp gets an

Hi Lorenzo,
First a thank you for thinking about a possible solution . What you are
suggestion would work I guess, but I'm not really looking forward to
adding missing fields in the description field. That would mean having a
text document where I would fill in what i need for one image, then
Hi Anton,
I'm sorry if I offended you. English is not my native language and
sometimes I seem to misinterpret things. And I'm not a coder ;) so my
workflow depends on available software and its options. And the only
thing I was trying to say is that in my case I can't work well with DT
