You might batch-copy the EXIF from jpg to dng using exiftool
Example:

(note that this command works the other way round)

does provide the full EXIF data set. So the question then is whether
there is some means to polinate the DNG from the JPG.

Can somebody confirm that highpass appears to crash the system in the
current git version.
