Hi Jason, I agree with your observations. I often use more than one denoise option. I now really like the denoise profiled chrominance only option. give it a try if you haven't already. I have put together this general observation for my students about these two now renamed denoise

Just a quick comment on this: the astrophoto denoise (formerly non-local means) is a very effective way to get rid of just colour noise with very little to no loss in image quality, and is certainly not restricted only to astrophotography. I still use it in conjunction with profiled denoise to get
